The Certified Sustainability Officer (CSO) program is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to lead sustainability initiatives within organizations. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainability principles, ESG and GHG reporting, practices, and strategies, enabling them to drive environmental, social, and economic sustainability across various industries and sectors.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, attendees will have achieved a high level of proficiency that enables them to:

1. 1. Understand the regulatory framework governing environmental management.
   2. Identify key environmental issues and challenges facing organizations.
   3. Develop and implement environmental management systems (EMS) ISO 14001 standards.
   4. Lead environmental audits and compliance assessments based on ESG GHG Standards.
   5. Monitor and measure environmental performance indicators.
   6. Implement sustainable practices in supply chain management to reduce environmental footprint.
   7. Develop strategies for both mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate change.
   8. Apply knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program to develop and implement a sustainability project, such as energy efficiency.

Duration and Mode of Delivery

The workshop extends over a period of 7 days, featuring 3 hours each day of intensive, interactive learning sessions. It is designed to be accessible and convenient for all by offering both online and in-person attendance options. Participants will be recognized with 21 PDUs (Professional Development Units) for their commitment to professional growth upon completion of the program.

1. BSEE, MS Industrial Informatics, PhD Computer Science.
2. More than 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and training in Sustainability, Data Analytics, Financial Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Statistics.
   
3. Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Kansas University – USA.
4. Extensive experience and consultant in Greenhouse Gas Reporting and ESG.
5. Experience in developing ESG and GHG projects and strategies.
6. Experience in ISO 21001 for quality improvement and ISO 14001 for Environmental Management System
7. Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt – Kansas University, USA.
